ATLS has developed a new variant of SAAB MFI-17 aircraft under a Joint Venture Public Private Partnership with Pakistan Aeronautical Complex The new variant Named GS-301 Batoor (brave in Arabic) is equipped with SAFRAN SMA SR305-230E engine it is turbocharged an ECU and uses a variety of Jet Fuels. Other add-on including three blade composite propeller by MT propeller, tubeless wheels and brakes by Beringer Aero, Full Glass Digital Cockpit by Glance Avionics, Electric ECS, Elecric Trim and Static Dis-charger makes it significantly different from earlier variants of SAAB MFI-17 i.e. Mushshak and Super Mushshak. Batoor is expected to dominate the non-aerobatic training and utility market where the price difference between Avgass and Jet Fuels is significant. Aviation Authority.

- Use of low cost, readily available jet fuels including Jet A, Jet A-1 and JP-8
